Dr. Dij is passionate about inclusive teaching. As a first-generation college student, she recognizes the power of making all students feel like they belong in the classroom. Inclusive teaching recognizes and affirms every student's visible and invisible social identities as important influences on teaching and learning, and works to create an environment in which students are able to learn from the course, their peers, and the instructor while still being their authentic selves.
